Intern with the Ventura GOP!
The Ventura County Republican Party is now accepting applications for creative and hardworking interns. If you are interested in expanding your experience in working in politics, community outreach, and exploring a career in public service, then you should apply.
Interns will learn campaigning from the ground up- working in communication, messaging, volunteer organizing, event planning and more, all the while working to make a difference here in Ventura County.
You must be able to commit at least 10 hours a week to the program, two days a week. Interns are expected to function as a team and shall be granted autonomy in order to accomplish their tasks. 2. What kind of internships are available?
Part-time and full-time positions are open. The titles of the of positions available are Deputy Precinct Coordinators and Deputy Communications Directors. The Deputy Precinct Coordinator shall act as a field operative for the Ventura County Republican Party and work towards community outreach to ensure a strong network of Republicans shall be mobilized and focused on ensuring GOP success in upcoming elections. The Deputy Communications Directors shall work together on projects regarding social media and news analysis, and work to communicate the Party’s message across various channels.
3. Can I receive academic credit for this internship?
Academic credit may be offered through your college or university. Prospective students should ensure with their academic advisers that this internship will provide them with academic credit.
4. What activities do interns perform?
Interns will be expected to work in collaborative teams in accomplishing delegated projects. Projects will range from social media outreach to assisting with the mobilization of Republican voters in an office and field environment.
