Ventura GOP Statement on Hunter Biden Verdict
June 11, 2024
Thousand Oaks, Calif. – Ventura County Republican Party Chairman John Andersen issued the following statement on the verdict in the weapons trial of Hunter Biden:
"The fact that the son of the President of the United States was found guilty on three weapons charges today is significant for several reasons.
Today’s verdict demonstrates just how Joe Biden’s corrupt Justice Department really is because prosecutors initially tried to sweep these charges away with a sweetheart plea deal. It took a federal judge appointed by President Donald Trump questioning the deal for the plea deal to go away.
If it hadn’t been for Judge Noreika, this would have been another instance where the rich and powerful avoid the consequences for offenses which most people would be punished.
Instead, the prosecution was forced to use evidence from Hunter Biden’s laptop, which Joe Biden, the Democrats and their accomplices in the media tried to claim was nothing but a ‘Russian hoax’ in an attempt to downplay the significance of the corruption of the Biden family which other evidence on the laptop proves.
During the trial, an FBI agent testified that a forensic analysis of the laptop determined that it had not been tampered with and that all the emails, text messages, photographs and documents were original and authentic. Furthermore, the evidence on the laptop was all corroborated by Hunter Biden’s subpoenaed Apple iCloud account. Since all the information on the laptop has been authenticated, then it should become the smoking gun in the Congressional inquiry into the corruption of Joe Biden and it should result in the President’s impeachment.
Finally, with the contents of the laptop fully authenticated by law enforcement, it’s time for Merrick Garland to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the Biden family’s corrupt influence peddling schemes that generated over $18 million in foreign payments.
It’s time that the Justice Department to stop covering for the ‘Big Guy’ Joe Biden."
